Make & Take Projects

At this time there are four Make&Take projects scheduled. Stop by the Creative Studio in the second floor of the entry way to see examples of each of these projects. All of the supplies and equipment will be available on the tables.

Thursday - 10 a.m. - Pincushions - Kits will be available to make a wrist band or a table top pincushion with a matching finger ring pincushion. This is a cute little project that will give you a useful sewing souvenir of  the 61st National Square Dance ConventionĀ® of 2012.

Thursday - 2 p.m. - Coin Ruched Flower Pins -  Kits will be available to make a small fabric flower using the old technique of coin ruching. These hand stitched flowers only take a few minutes to construct. Examples of other types of fabric flowers will be shown.

Friday  - 10 a.m. - Colored Pencil Quilt Square - The logo for Spokane's Riverfront Park has been incorporated into a new design just for our quilt squares. The  Quilt Squares will be available at the 61st NSDC Ways & means booth for $ 2. Colored pencils will be available in the Creative Studio for you to work on this project.

Friday - 2 p.m. - Beaded & Braided T-Shirts - You bring the T-shirt and we will provide the pony beads and instructions to make an interesting cuff on the sleeve. This technique can also be used on the hem of the T-shirt for more fun.

Saturday - 10 a.m. - Wind Chime Demonstration - Learn the techniques to make beautiful and tuneful wind chimes at home. This is a demonstration you will not be making anything just learning.
